Orders return and refund policyÂ
Returns and exchanges for orders placed and shipped to the United States are accepted within 14 days of the receipt of your watch and/or accessories, as long as the watch is in new, unwrapped, unworn condition, and has not been tampered with in any way. In particular, no refunds are possible when the plastic seals have been removed from the bracelet, as this indicates wear.
A $75 USD restocking fee will be assessed per product on all returns and exchanges. For returns, any shipping fees which were paid to send the watch and/or accessories to you will also be deducted from your refund amount.
Shipping costs for returning or exchanging a watch are the responsibility of the customer. Somerville Watch Company is not responsible for any damage or loss of watches that have been sent to us for return or exchange. Please insure your return packages.
Due to the unique customization and parts sourcing involved in making custom-builds, cancellations and/or returns for custom-builds are not accepted. However, damaged custom-builds are eligible for repair under our "Exchange and warranty policy" which is outlined below.
For orders in which the first shipment a customer received did not arrive for any reason, went missing after delivery, was misdelivered, or was stolen after delivery, a replacement shipment is required to be sent. This replacement shipment is not eligible for any returns, refunds, or cancellations. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy.
Damage return policy
For watches which arrive damaged, we will only accept returns within 14 days of the receipt of your watch and/or accessories, as long as the watch is in new, unwrapped, unworn condition, and has not been tampered with in any way. It is your responsibility to inspect the watch for any damage prior to unwrapping the watch.Â
Damage returns are assessed the same restocking and return fees as all other returns.
If your watch does arrive damaged and you have unwrapped the watch, then it will not be eligible for a refund. However, we will happily repair this damage under the terms of our warranty policy, which is outlined below.
Damage occurring to the watch early within your ownership experience is unfortunate, but it does not allow us to create exceptions to or circumvent our return policy.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations before an order is shipped, a $50 USD cancellation fee applies. This is to cover the non-refundable costs associated with each order that is placed, such as transaction fees and time spent building each order.
Cancellation requests are not guaranteed to be processed, and are not possible once a shipping label has been generated.

We do not allow exchanges.
Warranty Policy
For damage and/or issues with your watch, we provide warranty support for each watch we sell for 1-year from the purchase date of the watch.
Warranty Exclusions
- This warranty does not cover damage resulting from the misuse of the movement, including but not limited to damage caused by dropping the watch, banging the watch, or any other improper use of the movement (including but not limited to setting the date at incorrect hours and damaging the date mechanism).
- This warranty does not cover water and/or liquid related damage to the watch. We test our watches to 6ATM, but we do not advise swimming with our watches as water damage is typically the result of user error such as failing to properly screw-down crowns, pushers, and case backs.
- This warranty does not extend to issues with the timekeeping of the watch, unless it deviates by a significant amount per day. We regulate our watches to 10s/d on the bench, however, with real world usage, losing a few minutes per day is not abnormal for an automatic watch.
- This 1-year warranty does not apply to cosmetic damage, such that which results from wear and tear.
Warranty Shipping
Shipping charges to send the watch to our workshop are the responsibility of the customer. In the event that your warranty issue is valid, we will cover shipping charges to return the watch to the. However, if the issue is determined to caused by user error, then a return shipping fee will be assessed. We encourage you to work with us on troubleshooting before sending any watches to our workshop.
